Writing that means business
Features & Profiles
Features and profiles of interesting characters are always a favorite for any
writer. Here are a few.
- "Making the Move." Three transplants to Indianapolis -- an
international CEO, a medical researcher and a young executive --
discuss how they've come to appreciate the region, the opportunities it
affords and its people.
- "Entrepreneurs Bring New Approaches to Traditional Business
Sectors" profiles two business executives who are changing their
fields. John Waters, CEO and president of Bright Automotive, is
developing a hybrid-electric vehicle and entrepreneur Raul Zavaleta is
at the forefront of bringing information technology to the
pharmaceutical industry.
- “The Joy of Saks,” from Indianapolis Monthly, is a fun profile of the
new manager of Saks Fifth Avenue. It has nothing to do with health, but
it is an interesting profile.
- “Collaboration Key to New Cancer Breakthroughs,” from the
Indiana Health Industry Forum’s BioFutures magazine. The late Steven
D. Williams, M.D., director of the IU Simon Cancer Center, explained
how cancer doctors working in groups are more likely to advance
cancer research than those working alone.
