Rusty's work for the Indy Partnership, one of the top 10 economic
development organizations in the country, and the Indiana Health Industry
Forum, an organization devoted to promoting the life sciences in the state,
have given him access to business leaders, decision makers and industry
players of all stripes. He's written about business strategies, successes and
challenges from all angles.
- “Indy’s Winning Formula,” from the Indy Partnership’s Regional
Guide, tells how the city is convincing national and international music
and arts organizations to relocate to Indianapolis. The
MusicCrossroads initiative’s strategy comes straight from the playbook
the Indiana Sports Corp. used to attract 13 major sports governing
bodies to the city.
- “Life Sciences Businesses Flourish in Indiana” provides an
overview of the resources and business environment in Central Indiana
that make it a hotbed of innovation for the life sciences. Included are
short profiles of a few of the more unique startups getting started here.
- “Indiana Leading the Nation in Vehicle Electrification” highlights
Indiana’s prowess in clean-tech energy for the Indy Partnership’s
Regional Guide. Indiana was the second-largest recipient of $2.4 billion
in federal stimulus grants aimed at accelerating U.S. advanced battery
and electric vehicle component industries in 2009.
